About Us

The Farming Life Centre opened in June 2005. It was set up by a group of interested individuals, all of whom have a professional or personal commitment to Peak District hill farming. It is based in a converted barn at Blackwell Hall Farm – a working dairy and sheep farm situated between the market towns of Buxton and Bakewell in the Peak District National Park. FLC develops and hosts a range of health, social and economic activities which promote the well-being of Peak District farmers and rural communities, and celebrate farming past, present and future.
